Ecosystem approach
Circulation, filtration, rocks, gravel, plants, and fish work together so the pond maintains itself. Minimal chemicals. Water you can watch koi swim through.

The Dragon Gate
There’s an old story that follows koi everywhere they go. Swim far enough up the river, leap the falls at the Dragon Gate, and the fish becomes a dragon.
It’s why koi are almost always painted climbing water — never still. And it’s why we’ve never built a pond without giving the water somewhere to fall from. The falls aren’t the decoration on top of the pond. They’re the reason the whole thing works: moving water, aerated water, water with somewhere to go.
Every build we do has a climb in it somewhere. A two-foot cascade off a patio. Sixteen feet of stream through a side yard. A sheer drop you can hear from the back door.
The old fish who builds them, we call the Pondwright.

Custom ecosystem ponds with premium liners, filtration, rockwork and planting — natural-looking and built to last.

From subtle cascades to dramatic falls, we shape moving water that transforms the whole space.

Statement fountains and low-maintenance bubblers for courtyards, entries and gardens.

Cleanouts, leak fixes, pump & filter upgrades, seasonal care and ongoing service plans.
The pond is a living system — circulation, filtration, rock, gravel, plants, and fish in balance — so it stays clear with almost no chemicals. We place what you look at where you actually sit, and we build shelves you can plant, stand on, and maintain.

The BioFalls, the main waterfall, and the open water face the patio, the porch, or the window you live at — not the back fence.
Built-in ledges for safety, easy maintenance, and aquatic plants. You can step in, work the edge, and still have a pond that looks like nature set it.

We outline the pond and stream with marking paint or a hose until the shape sits right in the yard.
Skimmer and biological filter (BioFalls) go at opposite ends so water travels the full length of the feature.
We dig the basin with stepped shelves and clean, straight-edge walls — the bones of the ecosystem.
Protective geotextile first, then a flexible rubber liner. This is the watertight shell everything else sits on.
On most ponds the pump sits in the skimmer, with flexible PVC to the BioFalls, laid and buried so you never see a pipe. Swim ponds and rec ponds use an external pump instead.
Washed base rock, boulders, and river gravel along the basin and edges, set by hand over the liner.
Feature rocks and waterfall foam frame the main fall and tell the water exactly where to go.
Excess liner is trimmed and folded above the water line, then backfilled with soil and decorative gravel.
Marginal plants, fill, and beneficial bacteria to jump-start the ecosystem. Then it starts to live.

The intake bayAn AquaBlox intake bay — a high-volume, low-clog intake built into the pond and buried under stone. It pulls water evenly so the system runs quiet and clean. Most of our ponds use an internal pump in the skimmer. Swim ponds and rec ponds use an external pump. UV is an optional add-on, quoted separately — it is not in the regular price and is not always needed. You never see the machinery; you just see the result.

A constructed gravel wetland does the heavy lifting — biological filtration that keeps the water clear the way nature does. Here’s what’s working under the plants.

We’re a local, family-run team obsessed with the details — the set of every boulder, the sound of the water, the clarity you can watch koi swim through. We design and build to luxury standards, and we stand behind our work with real service.
Our goal is simple: transform your outdoor space into something that pulls you and your family outside, and feels like it’s always been there.
